Ah those giants. I`m laughing over your encounters Gor and Dark! Hello Mr. Giant...tee-hee.
Yep, you follow the Companion`s and eventually become a werewolf. My daughter played through that one and I really liked the perks! Now all I have to do is get my rump out of dawdle mode and get busy with the main quest.

Well I just fell victim to the hazards of multiple character saves. Decided to take my Redguard warrior a bit further and out of reflex I saved over my level 27 Nord ranger. Not happy right now, especially as i keep thinking of everything I'd achieved (and I just bought a house in Solitude too, took me ages to earn enough).
Now debating whether to restart them or just continue on with my other characters.

Yeah, that'll teach me for not double-checking before hitting 'save'. I've got my warrior and mage characters I can just carry on with, though I did really like the path I'd taken my ranger on.

Chuckle ah so you learnt how the Hulk felt after being hit by Thor from New York to Transylvania recently. I'm curios to ask why play to characters alternate? I would have thought playing one all the way through and then doing it again with another would be more the norm. I must admit I'm more a one character player. I invest so much time in that one character I just don't feel like going back again and starting from scratch with a new one. But that just might be me.
Sounds like the vampires are where you would expect them, caves, ruined castles and graveyards.

I`m very much like you, Ser Raven. I play one character through to the end. My daughter though has several and likes to go from one to the other.

My reasons kinda vary for having multiple characters. Sometimes I use games to develop characters I plan to write about so start new ones for them, as I find playing through 'as a character' helps me get more into their head and think more about who they are, especially with situations that give me a choice on how to proceed. For instance I had two characters I started to help develop characters for my Lord of the Rings story (the one based on Selwyn being the one I lost), and I have another that may guide the path of a fan-fic character I plan on bringing back soon.
Also I do it so I can switch depending on how I feel like playing. So as it stands (once I restart my Selwyn character) I'll have a sneaky hunter, a glory-in-battle warrior, and a slightly Necromantic witch, plus I'll probably start a more thief/assassin type one at some point. It allows me to shake things up based on my mood.
I'm really finding I like my witch character now. At first I was uncertain of spells being assigned like weapons, but with dual-wielding I've found some interesting combinations of magics, weapons, and even shields. Plus now they have more Necromantic spells in the form of reviving the dead I'm really happy (normally I play more Illusion based magic, but this time I'm focusing more on Conjuration and Destruction, though I still do have a bit of Illusion in there for good measure.

Today I may have done either the stupidest thing ever, or the coolest thing. During the quest where you get introduced to the Blades, you see the big bad anduin revive a dragon. What my orc did was the following....
Anduin: -in dragon tongue- Gorvar: Bored! -fires an arrow at the dragon- Anduin: WHO DARES?! Delphine and Drow mage compagion: o.o Gorvar: -draws sword and shield- bring it on!
Sadly Gorvar had to settle for the dragon that Anduin raised. That's three dragons and i'm not kidding, every dragon i saw along the way FLED for my Orc centurion.

Gorvar Orc - Terror of Dragons! Very cool tale, Gor!
Today I finally fought my first dragon. And survived! I`ve also gotten my foot in the door with the Companion`s and am now about to head off to speak to the Greybeards. I might have found the man I hope to settle down with eventually as well. Since I can`t have Jarl Ulfric it seems I may set my cap for a fellow Companion and have little pups eventually. Maybe I should stock up on flea collars??

Sadly you cant have kids in the game, since it would be to many variables i guess race wise. My orc is married to an normal human girl in Riverwood (the shopkeeper's sister ). The only reason i think you should get married for is getting money of your spouse, Lover's Comfort bonus for XP and a special meal whih raises your stamina....hehehe

I was just starting to look into my ranger marrying before my accidental wrong save. Wasn't sure who though, I only wore my amulet for a little bit in the town on the way to the Greybeards and found only the woman who wants bear pelts and the guy who runs the inn was interested in me.
Thankfully I have yet to fight three dragons. I do remember doing the second mission to stop the Necromancer Potema (it was in fact on that mission I caught vampirism I believe).
"Eww, this room is filled with bodies. Ooh! They might have gold on them!" *Potema talks to me about making me her servant, then bodies start to rise* "Crap! Forgot she was a Necromancer!" Needless to say I got swarmed by zombies and had to re-do it.
Oh, and the best thing to do with my witch character when fighting in the plains. Reanimate the dead giant as my servant, bandits don't know what hit them.

I see a lot of talk of Skyrim going on. I've been playing the game for only a while, and I am hooked. Just did the werewolf scene and literally watched like this then thought I was going to be puppy chow Amazing game though.

Hahah. Just joined the Companions with one character, though not sure if I'll stay as a werewolf on that character.
In non-Skyrim news I finally got my War in the North delivered. I'll be able to report on what it's like after I get to play it with my friend. I could play single (and have the urge to) but since it's meant as a co-op game I want to play it co-op.

Can someone tell me how the Skyrim marriage works? There`s a quest that sends you after an amulet. You have to wear it and that announces your intent to marry. I`m not far enough along yet and my daughter refuses to allow her Nord warrior to get married. I plan to though as soon as I can, old romantic fool that I am. Bummer you can`t have kids but I can see the problem with that. Sounds like Gor has a better knowledge of marriage in Skyrim than I do. I`m sure he`ll let you know more of the details.
