Hmm, I have to say I enjoy Ezio a great deal and will be really sad to see him end his story. As for Desmond..*Peeks around to see if child is nearby* I think he`s kind of boring as well. My daughter adores him but so far I haven`t seen anything that shows me much. Maybe over time he`ll begin to shine!
Those NPC`s are buggers, aren`t they? According to Arainia, the news about losing Lydia in SKyrim isn`t true, since she just got married in her game. So, maybe if we do lose her it won`t penalize us too much.
I`m a terrible shot with a bow as well Ser Raven. I am much happier with a shield and a sword and a battle cry. I`m even worse using magic! I recall once my kid played my game and ran into Flemeth in dragon form. She hurried to pull up Wynne`s magic and I had very little for her to use in battle!

I just bought AC, but have yet to crack it open, as one might guess, since I too have been neck-deep in skyrim. Anyone want to guess what I'm playing as?? (Hint- he's soon to have his tale continued over in the fantasy forum!!!) My only beef, after several days of play and having wandered off the main quest and into joining the bards' college (yay!!) is that I still do not care for how they made the elven races look in this one. They looked great in Oblivion, but here they just look too pointy-gaunt, and dare I say old? The facial morphs just were not what I was hoping for. Other than that, very few complaints. The dual-wielding is a definite Woo-Hoo! I am on the fence about the skill tree system and lack of classes, but it frees up my time for more game play. I tend to go full melee on most enemies, at least the ones that are on the weaker end of the spectrum. Fought my first dragon already, and have two shouts. (one not active yet- gotta go kill another dragon to power it...) For stronger foes, I like to get up high out of reach and just fry em with magic and arrows. And yes, I love sneaking! Keeps me alive more often than I like to admit....

Archery is always tricky, though far easier now it slows down 25% when I zoom in. My main character uses the bow and dual axes, though usually I can't be bothered swapping so I try and fight melee skirmishes with a bow (which makes the new added feature of being able to bash with the bow a god-send).
They definitely have changed the looks of elves, to me they look like they've moved towards the look Bioware did for DA2. Haven't made an elf yet (going to start one today I think) so I'm not sure of what you can do with their looks.
And I've now got three shouts (on on second level through main mission) and an extra dragon soul. Last shout I got was Storm Call, which makes me feel like Thor but I'd warn you not to use it in populated areas, I fired it off in the city and it turns out the lightning strikes everything and anything (including Lydia).

Wow, you guys are doing great in SKyrim. I have yet to fight a dragon so I`m shy on shouts. My daughter had the controller all last night. I agree, I don`t like the looks of the elves either. They ruined them in Dragon Age 2 as well. If I hadn`t know that Zavran was Zevran in DA:2 I wouldn`t have recoginized him at all! I thought elves were supposed to be a beautiful race? These look angular and gaunt and old. *Shakes head*

Don`t you have a gaming console, SS? You can buy Skyrim for PC if you want and save yourself a few hundred bucks.

Ok, dragons have now officially got me paranoid in Skyrim. All it takes is a seagull shadow to make me freak out and scan the skies. No helped by the fact I got attacked by one in a town, with the local alchemist being killed during the attack (needless to say I looted her corpse though).
Waiting for my War n the North game to come on Tuesday, looks to be a good co-op game so me and a friend are gonna have a good time slaying orcs. Though not sure how our first encounter with a troll will go, generally in games when we meet some of the larger enemies it doesn't go so well (with me running away, and him charging in only to get his butt kicked).

Tee-hee. That seems to be a common reaction for Skyrimmmers, Dark. I`ve yet to encounter one, but I DID get an hour last night and got to level 6!
Sounds like fun! I`m a terrible co-op player. My kid does all the killing and I`m usually laying somewhere in a blood heap missing vital organs. =)

Well now I'm a vampire. Should have paid more attention to everyone saying I looked sick, but I figured it was just that Bone Break Fever again (had it five times so far). By the time I realized it was vampirism it was too late. Makes my sneaking a hell of a lot easier though, I've had people run straight up in front of me and not see me.

We'll have to call you old fang from now on! So is the vampirism the same as in Oblivion? I must admit I always cured myself of the disease very quickly using the potion you learn from the old witch (yes I know surprise!). How do you look now. I never liked the look of the character when they turned . Even at level 1 vampirsim they never looked too good unlike the npc vampires.
So frustrating hearing your tales. I've bought the game now but its a gift to me from my daughter so I can't open it for another month!

Oh dear, Dark. I haven` t seen too many vampires so far. My daughter, with her Nord player, was a werewolf and that was pretty darn cool! Talk about a power that helps you clear out opponents quickly! She finished the main quest with her Nord (She`s such a linear player) then started a new game with a dark elf woman and joined the Dark Brotherhood. There are a couple quests for the DB that are awesome!! Some old and dear friends return is all I shall say.
Oh Raven, that must be tough to sit there and know you have it and not be able to play.

I was hoping to become a werewolf rather than vampire, though I wasn't a hundred percent sure if werewolves were in it. Hmm, now I have to look into curing it...
So far I've noticed basically no difference in my character's looks from vampirism. I think the eyes are a different colour (hard to tell on my TV) and my skin is a little paler. So far it looks like you don't die in sun, just your stamina and health don't regen and take a hit (which seems to be bigger the longer you go without drinking).
Being a vampire is good for my stealth, but I'm playing as a real ranger (largely hanging out in the wilderness hunting or killing bandits) and since I haven't upgraded magic I can't use a night-vision spell so i really have to do it during the day. Though it is good being immune to both disease and poison.

Well, I fought my first solo dragon, and got its soul, though I can't use it yet. My biggest problem, surprisingly, has been saber-tooths. I seem to get eaten by them a LOT. Also got trampled by a trio of mammoths when I tried to sneak-kill one at a giants' camp. It ticked off the entire herd. I thought I had separated one of them from the rest, but apparently, mammoths are smart enough for flanking maneuvers. Go figure.... I've also acquired the guide book, so now I can decide which factions to join based on the quests they give, rewards, etc. Yay!!! And potion recipes!
