Hey gang, I just recieved another PM from the ProBoards staff about mature content. I did go through the links they gave me, and removed the words 'Mature Content' from Duckie`s dark fantasy. I also edited a scene in Talon that they seemed to object to. If anyone has some strong sexual scenes, as much as this galls me to say it, could you go through and tone them down slightly?
I guess we`ll have to keep the bedplay under wraps. I do apologize for any work this may cause the writers here. I strongly dislike being told what I can and cannot write, so these warnings are ruffling my feathers to the extreme.

Writers, due to yet more complaints from the ProBoards staff I am now going to have to delete three threads here. This I do only so that the admins get off my back. I will post this message down in the fan fic section as well. After I regretfully delete the threads I am going to high tail it over to Mick`s and post the past issues of Scarlet Talon. I am so very sorry for this my friends. This is not what freedom of speech is supposed to look like. If anyone would like a link to Mickey`s, please let me know and I`ll be happy to give you one.

If that's the case, then I'd like the link.
If it's not too much trouble, I'd also like it if viewing could be re-opened to the public, I don't think that's very conducive to writing an educational work.

I`ll reopen the fan fiction thread, since I now know where the complaints are coming from. I will say that I`m leaning towards deleting this board within a week. I simply do not need the stress the admins are constantly putting on me via PM and my personal e-mail. I also, as most here should know, am against censorship in any form.

Wow, don't come on for a day and this happens.
It does put a kink in things I was planning to do for some of my tales. I like that it's sexual content no violent that is the issue, I'll never understand it.

Well, its been an on-going thing behind the scenes since I created the board to be honest, Dark. It started with the headers and has progressed into them demanding I delete threads, which I did, but with a very heavy heart indeed. I left Marvel due to such things and have a very strong conviction about being able to write what I wish. Don`t change your plans or your work gang, not for anyone!

I'd like to say that I fully support the work of Feral Female, MsmarvelDukie and Gorvar and find this whole situation very difficult to understand. I supported Feral's move from Marvel boards due to censorship and have followed her here and will support a move to where all can write as they wish with the boundaries that we our selves have set which comply with what is decent while still acknowledging real human emotions etc.

Well where ever we go I'll be sure to follow everyone else there. I know I haven't posted basically at all but its mostly because for the past while I've had a hard time coming up with anything to write. I recently started on a story but with the news of mature content not allowed on the site it seems I wouldn't be able to post it anyhow. I too hate having my imagination restricted. Nevertheless I'll be sure to check out these stories over at the Tavern. You don't have to throw me a link Feral, even though I haven't been there in some time it does help that I get the email from them on new projects every now and then that supplies a link.  |
