Ironic this should come up as I've passively thought about who would alert readers and friends not to expect anymore stories from me in a case of my becoming untimely. It would mean sharing username/password with someone trustworthy who had an inkling of how to post on-line. In addition, I'd need to have a vague final issue scripted to fit the bill.

There aren't many places where being an archeology major and an astronomy fan overlap, but one place where they definitely do is that, given my choice of magazines and websites, I run into twice as much 2012 doomsday nuttiness.
I'm torn between making ItC Story Year 2012 at least partially about debunking that nonsense, both for educational purposes and as a way of taking out my frustrations, and not wanting to give such nutty ideas any more attention, even in the context of being debunked.
